ADS-B.Pro Ready Feeder Station
A complete, preconfigured ADS-B receiving station designed for users who want a reliable feeder without building the hardware and software stack themselves.
The system is delivered as a ready-to-use receiver based on a compact Ultra Small Form Factor computer or Raspberry Pi-class platform, depending on current hardware availability.
The station includes the complete receiving chain, from antenna to software.
WHAT IS INCLUDED
- Compact feeder computer:
Ultra Small Form Factor terminal, Raspberry Pi or equivalent platform depending on availability - High-sensitivity 1090 MHz ADS-B antenna
- Approximately 7 m of low-loss RF240 coaxial cable
- 1090 MHz low-noise amplifier: Approx. +20 dB gain
- ADS-B optimized SDR receiver
- Power supplies and required RF connections
- Preinstalled operating system and ADS-B software stack
PREINSTALLED SOFTWARE
The feeder is supplied with a Debian-based operating system and configured with:
- readsb
- tar1090
- ADS-B.Pro feeder software
The system is prepared for continuous 24/7 operation and can be connected directly to a local network.
DESIGNED FOR ADS-B RECEPTION
The complete RF chain is selected specifically for 1090 MHz ADS-B reception.
The combination of:
- high-gain outdoor antenna
- low-loss RF240 cable
- dedicated 1090 MHz LNA
- filtered ADS-B SDR
is designed to provide significantly better reception performance than basic indoor USB receiver setups.
LOCAL RADAR INCLUDED
The station includes tar1090, providing a local browser-based aircraft radar interface.
You can view received aircraft directly from devices on your local network without requiring an external cloud service.
ADS-B.PRO FEEDING
The station comes prepared to feed received aircraft data to the ADS-B.Pro network.
Configuration is completed during setup, allowing the receiver to start contributing shortly after installation and network connection.
OPEN SYSTEM
The feeder remains fully open for the user.
You are free to install additional software, connect the receiver to other services, or use the hardware for other compatible ADS-B applications.
The system is not locked to ADS-B.Pro and no artificial restrictions are applied to the operating system or receiver.
Please note, however, that official support is provided only for:
- the supplied ADS-B.Pro feeder configuration
- the preinstalled Debian environment
- readsb
- tar1090
- ADS-B.Pro feeder software
Additional third-party services, feeders or custom software may be installed at your own discretion, but they are outside the scope of ADS-B.Pro support.
HARDWARE PLATFORM
Depending on availability, the computing platform may be:
• Ultra Small Form Factor terminal
• Raspberry Pi
• equivalent low-power computer
The exact platform may vary, but all configurations are selected to provide sufficient performance for continuous ADS-B reception and feeding.
TYPICAL USE CASES
- ADS-B.Pro feeder stations
- Home ADS-B receiving installations
- Aeroclubs and airfields
- Remote receiving locations
- Rooftop and mast installations
- Long-range aircraft tracking
- VRS X data sources
INSTALLATION
For best performance:
- install the antenna as high as practical
- provide a clear view of the horizon
- keep the antenna vertical
- avoid unnecessary additional coaxial cable length
- connect the feeder to a stable network connection
The station is supplied preconfigured. Final installation consists primarily of mounting the antenna, connecting the RF cable, power and network.
EXPECTED PERFORMANCE
Actual reception range depends on:
- antenna height
- surrounding terrain and buildings
- aircraft altitude
- RF interference
- installation quality
- local line-of-sight conditions
A properly installed station with good horizon visibility can provide long-range ADS-B reception and significantly outperform basic indoor receiver installations.
IMPORTANT
Exact hardware components may vary depending on availability.
Any substituted component will be selected to provide equivalent or better functionality and performance.
This product is intended as a complete ADS-B receiving solution rather than a fixed single-hardware configuration.
